Nick Hoover no longer works at SLCentral, although he and his company, 720 Studios, act as our intermittent consultants.
Nick Hoover was born in Fresno, CA on April 2nd, 1983. He currently is the president of the California Systems and Network Engineering firm, 720 Studios. He will be attending Cal Poly under the computer science major in the fall of 2001. He is fluent in most programming languages with UNIX being his favored platform for server side computing.
In March of 1999, he began a small hardware website with friend Sam Kenyon. After about three months, with fairly good traffic and a forum that was beginning to take a life of its own - he merged with SLCentral.
While working with SLCentral, he implemented a internal and external news system along with some other things.
Nick has worked at several small to large internet development firms.
His company, 720 Studios has several contracts with companies for support and planning of their network, database, and system needs. Also, 720 Studios provides hosting on either Windows 2000 or Unix based boxes with high quality features.
Aside from the company, and school - Nick is the bass player for several project bands in the area, San Luis Obispo. Soon he'll have more info up at http://www.nickhoover.com.
