Hmm...
As you said, you can't get DSL or cable where you live. If that's the case, then you probably don't want whatever this is that you're getting. It sounds to me like a satellite solution.
It could be useful, depending on your needs. Are you a gamer? If so, then forget it. This system is HIGH latency...moreso than dialup typically. And depending on the implementation, you may still have to use your modem to send the data requests, meaning your uploads are still 33.6Kbps maximum.
The download speed is useful for page viewing and large file downloads, but the latency makes it worthless for gaming.
