I'll read reviews on it once it's been released before I even THINK about buying it.
After the last little "Oh, no, we really don't do true 24bit/96KHz audio, no matter what it looks like on the product box", I think I can do just as well from someone like Hercules, or perhaps Turtle Beach as a second choice. If they can come up with an alternative to the Game Theater XP that doesn't need the huge breakout box and yet does 90% of the same things, I'll consider it plenty long before Creative Labs....CL has made great cards in their day, but I think they've gotten a bit too big for their britches.
I own an Audigy...it's not a bad card...but there are others out there who do as good a job or better within the same price range, who don't put misleading labels on the features of their sound cards.
