OK....I'll take a crack at it

Gigabyte GA-7VAXP $119.00
2x256mb PC3200 $158.00
Audigy2 internal $107.00
Klipsch 5.1 THX Speakers $399.00
Athlon 2100+ $110.00

Total $893.00 w/o tax and shipping

Keep that videocard..............Battlefield1942(1600x1200), JediOutcast and Return to Castle Wolfenstein run fine(2048X1536).

The motherboard which I just got for one of my systems, overclocks nicely if want to do so and is very upgradeable. It has a built in 6.1 sound and ethernet. Personally if you like to game get the Audigy2 the games I use take advantage of the EAX extensions. The Klipsch 5.1 speakers I can also vouch for they are awesome. However Logitech is going to release their
Z-680 system soon enough. It will probably be at least $150.00 cheaper then the Klipsch.

Same system with Logitech instead of Klipsch. $743.00
with that savings I would throw in the

Yamaha CRW-F1ZE burner $134.00 w/shipping

New total is $877.00

Next spring when the genuine serial ATA drives come out get the HighPoint card and good drive. The other two drives you might as well keep for multimedia storage etc... If you keep this computer as long as you last one. I think will be quite happy. You'll probably need to find a case probably and power supply.

best of luck,
