Weird Windows 2000 Problem...
Ok, my Windows 2000 SP-2 system T-Bird 800@800 w/512MB PC-133, TNT, SBLive, DVD Decoder, SCSI card had been running great for the past 3 months without any problems (VERY stable).
Recently I noticed that my machine would start being very unstable very quickly (within hours instead of weeks). So I decide to reboot, I come back to logon with my username/password and I get this Windows message that my profile became corruped! How the hell? I noticed that there was something called Administrator.bak in the Documents and Settings folder where all the profiles are. I go and look and find that all of my Cookies/Favorites/Documents/Desktop Links, etc are all sitting there!
Weird!
I just made myself a new account and transfer all of my stuff back over to this new account. Has anyone experienced this? Why would something like this happen? I've been runnig Win2K since the week it was released and NEVER experienced anything like this.
Thanks-
