yea I've experienced that before... mine was self induced though... I was overclocking and seeing how high my system would go... it managed to boot get all the way to the logon screen and it gave me that message when I logged on... I rebooted at a more stable speed and found my old profile in Administrator.bak as well... transferred everything back to my profile folder and everything was fine...
I'm not sure why it happens, it's probably due to some problem during boot up when it loads your profile. Did you overclock anything? Do you have proper cooling for your CPU? It might be a problem with your memory also. For me I can duplicate it by just running at that overclocked speed... It hasn't happened any other time but then...
