i had an internet keyboard that had a standby button on it. if you pushed it, the computer went into standby... Well that button became known as the "computer freeze up button" because everytime my computer went into standby i had reset it to get it to come back on. i don't know why it does that but i removed the internet keyboard drivers and now that button doesn't do anything... thats how i fixed my problem. i'd try to stay away from that feature. perhaps go to the control panel and set your power management to power down your hd after a short period of time. instead of using standby mode.
