You Don't Know Jack!
alrighty, I'm watching this and I think it sucks....even for PeeWee Herman...and I got tired of that whole Austin Powers thing 2 years ago......anyway....my two cents.

I didn't watch it
why?
I know it would suck because of who was running it.

I've never even heard of it, I'm guessing it's a new TV show?

Yeah...It's on ABC. There's just loads of sarcasm in the following statement, but take it as you will...
This show would've been better on Fox.

Well, to be more precise, WWTBAM is a spinoff of YDKJ. Since you don't seem to recall/know, You Don't Know Jack! is a series of party trivia games from Sierra that were really popular about three years ago. Some silly executive-type person decided to make a TV show out of it, because we all know how profitable game-based TV shows and movies are...(But anime is not, of course... )

Well, that's just the thing. The computer game is pretty good. The TV show, naturally, is not. But then again, on very few occasions has a really good product in one form of media made a successful crossover to another form of media.
Videogame-based movies are one example.
To quite a few people, movies based on books are another. I can't count the number of times I've heard someone (Including me) say "It wasn't that way in the book!"
How about videogames based on movies? Or, even better, videogames based on movies based on videogames (Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game, anyone?)

Dude, you were so wrong.
The computer game wasn't "pretty good"
IT WAS INCREDIBLE!
the announcer sat there insulting you the whole game and all around making you feel dumb, and you loved every minute of it! And it wasn't sierra it was berkley games published under the sierra family of games. I have several of them here. They're SO cool!

Okay, you do have to admit that it was a rather psychologically phenomenal success...Kinda like Cliff Yablonski Hates You.

True...I did forget that minor detail...I'm surprised that Cookie and the other hosts didn't ever mention any flying toasters...Berkeley Systems was pretty big on marketing those damned things. BTW - I know they got absorbed into Sierra, but does Berkeley still even exist? I haven't heard the name "After Dark" in a VERY long time...

Gotta love teh cookies so far.
YDKJ was a great game, and afterdark was hilarious for a screensaver. I think berkley got absorbed and became one with the collective of sierra. Bummer, too. AD was great
