Well it looks like this week brings some interesting things...
On the Software front, Microsoft had released
Windows XP Service Pack 1 and
Internet Explorer 6 SP 1. (Both are build# 1106). If you apply SP1 for XP you do NOT need to get the IE SP.
Both
Norton and
McAfee have released updated versions of their Anti-Virus suites (NAV 2003 & VS 7.0)
Some users are speculating that XP SP1 is
disabling Kazaa or Kazaa Lite.
Meanwhile, MS
reported a mysterious increase in the number of security breaches being reported to them. Well it turns out that this was caused by
improperly configured machines... Imagine that!
Also - Borland
Delphi 7 has been released. You can expect me to dissappear for days at a time now...
Tom's Hardware seems to have aquired a P4 3.6Ghz chip... Interesting stuff.
And last but not least, AMD
announced the shipping of the Athlon MP 2200+ chips. They run on the 0.13 micron core (@ 1.9Ghz I believe, not sure though) and appear to be the last MP chips to be made using the 0.13 core. I can only speculate as to what that means...
Ok, I'm finished wasting your time... I hope you found something interesting. :P
