I am upset that this store has closed up shop. This was my favorite place to shop. i have built 15 systems and got all my parts here. i have been shopping with them for many years. If they ever come back online and open the store again i will continue my shopping here. The support was good and the customer service was awesome. if there was a problem with a product or an order they corrected it right away!

I've seen Johhny around on the Anandtech forums, but I guess he doesn't stop by here anymore, its a shame, those rants were great. Maybe I'll send him a PM over at AT.

TCWO went bankrupt. Got rid of tech support and quit doing one year warranties (directed everyone to manufacturer for warranties) to help save money on overhead, but when that happened, the customers quit coming because TCWO was one of the few vendors that offered tech support and warranty! You can't win in the computer business.

Ha! Don't know when that popped up. As far as I know, Dan Thompson still owns the domain, but I guess I'll keep an eye on the website just to see what happens.

If you're an actual VAR needing a distributor, try Sunnytech.cc if you're in Tampa, try MA Labs otherwise.

If you're just looking for "wholesale to public" like TCWO and you're in Florida, you're SOL. Otherwise, try e-Wiz.com.

    Xmas

If you want a site with wholesale prices with FREE 2-3 shipping and FREE tax, go to www.newegg.com Sad to see TCWO go!

Newegg does not have wholesale prices. The only time you get wholesale prices is when you buy wholesale.

ZipZoomFly and eWiz frequently beat Newegg prices. In fact, the only time I find good prices at Newegg, it's a "limit one per customer" item and they're always out of stock. Newegg's shipping is not "free." You just get "free" upgraded shipping, being 2 to 3 day for the same price as ground. and any vendor is tax free if they're out of your state.

I'm not saying Newegg is not a good option. I like Newegg too. But I get tired of hearing people call Newegg the Holy Grail of PC Parts when they're just another vendor IMHO.

    Default rumor i heard

I was still living in Tampa when they had slowed down on the business. The rumor was that somebody stole alot of money and equipment from the warehouse!!!
The warehouse was still open but sold mostly tvs and stuff. Im not sure if that place is still even open.
But I heard another good place to check is tigerdirect.com
