I just thought that since the message board has been growing lately, there are probably a lot of newcomers out there that don't know much about the regulars on the board. I mean even I don't really hang around the boards as much, but I plan to. So I thought I'd start a little thread where new people can post to introduce themselves to the message board community...

    I'll go first I guess...

I'm Tom Solinap, part of the SL staff. I'm a Junior at Polytechnic University, majoring in Computer Science. I've been with SL since 1999. I love everything computer related, but that's not all I'm into. Other hobbies include snorkeling, drinking, pool, hanging out, and working out...

Laughing I'll spare you the horror of a photo...

I'm Drew. I'm Games Editor here for SL...That doesn't say much right now, but soon it will. I'm a senior at Mississippi State University...but that doesn't say much either, since I still have 2+ years left in my curriculum of choice. I'm an RPG addict, and a slave to all things slacking...

Some of my favorite PC games include System Shock 2, Worms Armageddon, Diablo (either), and any of the X-Wing series.

I also dig console games. I'm almost finished with Final Fantasy IX right now, and, provided my girlfriend doesn't start it first, and I don't have anything else to do (Game reviews! hint hint), I'll start in on Xenogears. If she finishes Chrono Cross and takes Xenogears first, though, I'll finish up Legend of Mana and probably get to work on Vagrant Story. Otherwise, she may get to work on Rhapsody or Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete.
Oh yeah, and I'll have a Dreamcast soon, so I can play the glory that *is* Samba de Amigo.

And, as if it wasn't practically a requirement for any RPGamer, I watch a lot of anime too. Favorites include Neon Genesis Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, Koko wa Greenwood, Serial Experiments Lain, Cashaan Robot Hunter, Dragon Quest Abel Yuusha, Patlabor, and Orguss O2. I've not yet watched Robotech/Macross or anything Gundam besides Gundam Wing, but I really like mecha (As can be evidenced by some of my choices above )

I'm a techie and I've been working with computers since my Apple IIc in 1984. I'm open to talk about anything, so message me if you want!

oh how could I forget Anime, I'm pretty much into any kindo f anime but my favorites are: Akira, Robotech/Macross, Gundam, Dragon Ball Z, Kenshin, Flame of Recca, Tenchi Muyo, and Ghost in the shell

RPGs were my passion back in the day... Final fantasy for the NES got me into it, then I just played whatever I could get my hands on... I haven't really been into any more console rpgs since then... Asheron's Call opened me into the MMORPG... nowadays I don't have time to get reall involved in any more games.

I've wanted to play a MMORPG seriously for a long time...and hopefully, I'll be on LucasArts' good side when Galaxies is almost out...

Careful with MMORPGs dude... they can seriously take over your life... they're almost like a drug. I used to call Asheron's Call, Asheron's Crack. I couldn't go to sleep with out my daily hit... It's the devil herself

Laughing Yeah...I know how that is...

I had a three week marathon last semester trying to finish System Shock 2...I'd stay up until 2 AM or so every morning trying to finish that game...Wow. In the dark, wearing headphones, in a quiet room...That game will give you the creeps sometimes!

Of course, I'm on Diablo II right now...

I guess I will join in too. My name is James Lee and all I ever do is work and sleep. In my spare time I play with my son and wife then what ever time is left over after that goes to Team Fortress, reading and posting on the fourms, and racing my car.

Here is some good advice to those of you who know a lot about cars. DONT LET ANYONE ELSE KNOW. I have had people that I dont know stop at my house and ask if I would work on there cars. They see me loading my race car on the trailer or working on it and think I am a mechanic by trade. Its not bad working on the race car because there is soo much room and its clean, but other peoples daily drivers are dirty and clutterd with all the eletronics.

I'm Matt, and I just chilled here. I attend Baylor University in Waco, and am looking foward to seeing the Dallas Stars win the Stanley Cup again this year. I'm a computer science major, but I'm only a sophomore. But its all good. Hopefully Dave will let me be an official news editor, but right now I'm just the unofficial one.

    Cool

My name is Christine, I am a sophmore at Rider University. I am a Business Administration major, who is thinking about minoring in Economics. I live at home with my parents, therefore no social life But hey, 2 more years and I take my little red Mustang and get outta Dodge.

In my free time I ride horses (Dressage), I drive my car like I stole it, I love going to the beach, I love playing with my dog, and I just love having a good time

Oh yeah, I play Planetarion (one of the few girls...it is fun) and I spend A LOT of time on IRC chatting to people, and a certian someone special. I love getting to know people and about their lives...that kind of stuff interests me...I am a real people person.
