WTB: Computer parts for system
Sadly, my old P-Pro 90 died the other day, so my brother and mother have nothing to do work on (and there's now way i'm letting them sit down on my new machine Anyway, I'm looking to buy a bare-bones system that includes:
•motherboard
•RAM
•AMD CPU of at least 300MHz
•case (need new one to throw it all in)
I have scraps from old computers to fill the rest (HD, vidcard, modem, etc).
I'm looking to pay around $200-$250, and to buy ASAP (they're already on my case and it's only been 2 days, sheesh)
I'll pay in MO, or PayPal.
Thanks in advance,

I have an AMD K6 (1) 300 MHz (Generic HSF) with a Giga-Byte motherboard. I don't remember the motherboard model #, but it supports both PC66 SDRAM and EDO ram (simultaneously if configured right).
Board Features
2 SDRAM slots / 2 EDO slots
UDMA33
AGP
3 or 4 PCI slots
3 ISA slots
I don't have the system with me here at school, but my dad can remind me of the specs (as he has it back in Dallas).
I also have the original CTX case and power supply (250W I believe). I don't think that I have any RAM laying around, but if the price is right, I'll pull some out of my computer . Let me know if you are interested, and we can talk price.

OK, I was wrong on a few things...I found the mobo model #. It is a Giga-Byte GA 586SG.
More accurate specs...
1 AGP slot (1x/2x)
4 PCI slots (PCI 2.1)
2 ISA slots
2 SDRAM slots
4 EDO DRAM slots
2x USB
DMA/33 (up to 4 IDE devices)

Oops, forgot to log on for that last reply, heh.
BTW, please including shipping charges in your price, like I said, I'm looking to pay $200-$250 TOTAL.
Thanks in advance,

Well, I just looked at a couple shipping rates, and assuming that you're in College Park Woods, Maryland, I think that I could do it for $200 2nd Day Air (FedEx), or $225 Overnighted (FedEx). If you would like, I can check on some ground rates, too. I will give you a more exact quote if you send me your mailing address via e-mail to bmhowe@yahoo.com.
Just an FYI, I DO have the optional USB cable with the motherboard and plan on sending it.
