I'll bet you can sell this thing for a grand on eBay. The case alone costs much more than you paid.

Just an observation - that 3 pin connector you couldn't figure out? It might be the lead for the internal speaker, unless you've already got that connected. I'm a Mac and PC person, and this really looks neat. (Plus, you would really freak out a Mac user who sees it whiles it boots up! )

I would pay good money to see my mac zealot friend see a "G4" booting up windows, and NOT though Virtual PC
That's a great idea...I tink I'll send him the link. Thanks for the idea stonhinge!
(and good observation about the 3pin connector)

Yep - No lie. This was my first case mod. It took a total of about 35 hours. Prolly would've taken less had I been more prepared and didn't goof up.

Nope, there's another cable that goes to the speaker. I have it rigged up to the motherboard's PC speaker header, so the mobo POSTs through the case speaker.

BTW, for anybody that liked it, submit it to MaximumPC Magazine to get the Rig Of The Month Award by emailing input@maximumpc.com and letting them know the URL of the article. Your support is appreciated!

Arghh!
What a senseless waste of a good G4 case! I'll give you 10 points for ingenuity, but God! Thats like putting a Chevette engine in a Mercedes!
Ah, well , The worlds a better place with diversity. Incidentally, Virtual PC on a G4 (Running on Mac OS 9.1) boots Windows 98 about 4 times faster than a PC.
