    Talking RoadRunner Cable

I love my RoadRunner cable. Its rated and tested at 2.1MB down/450K up. They just upgraded, it really kicks ass! I pay just $45 a month.

My home cable is about 1.4Mbit down/1Mbit up -- nice, fast and fairly reliable. I get charged $30/month--not bad!.

At school we have a crappy fractional T1 that is shared to our entire district (about 900+ computers). During school hours it is really slow, but once everyone leaves for the day, its nice and quick.

In my office we have a full T1 (1.544Mbits) with a backup DSL line that is 512/512 and a basic 128kbps ISDN line as a total failsafe. It is really nice to have a fiber line sitting right next to your desk--no complaints (really expensive, thank god I don't pay the bill on that one).

My highest clocked download 438 KB/s

My highest clocked upload 274 Kb/s (That was to someone on Rogers HighSpeed Cable in Toronto! )

Right now still 56k dial up modem. I tried to get DSL but a line spliting system I had phone company install about 10 years ago prevented it working (AML box). I've got the AML box removed now but I'm fence sitting again (BTW the AML also kept me at about 20k max, now I'm about 48k. )

I don't get here nearly enough thanks for the email push ...grin!

    Hi
I used to have that crappy 56k dial up AOL service.
I hate it they send you those stupid cd's to try and get you to come back to there service. What a waste of resources why cant they make them on rewritwable disks so we can reuse them but anyways I switched over to Road RunnerHigh Speed online ( Cable) It is so much nicer.

I use a connection that transfers at 10mb/sec... problem with my connection is that the servers that I'm trying to connect to are way to slow! They just can't keep up.

Shouldn't be a problem with SLCentral as we have a pretty fast server.
