Poll #12: How do you connect to the internet?
Post your comments on poll#12: How do you connect to the internet.
Personally, I'm on 1.5/384 xDSL from Covad.
It's fast, but Covad has been having some connection problems lately
How are you connecting and what have your experiences been like?

Well, I have cable service through AT&T, and used to have it through Excite@home, but you all know the story. Thankfully, I lost service for only one to two days. Now I have 1.5mbps down and 128kbps up instead of the old 4mbps down and 128kbps up. I guess I'll live.

Grrr, that's me ^^^. Don't know how that happened, I hadn't had a problem with cookies for so long. Maybe something about the poll interface or my cookie just expired after a long time.

Must be nice
I live the BFTexas, I have a 56.6 modem but connect speeds stay
around 19,200 most days. Once in awhile I can log on at 26,400(zinging through the net on them days although they are rare). Unless of course it rains then we cant get on for 2 days till the phone lines dry out. Lucky for me I live in the middle of texas (for about 1 more week) so it dont rain to often.

DSL with Sympatico ( Bell Canada )
Speed : 1.3/128 modem, to be upgraded to a 8/1 soon, or so they keep claiming. It's a free upgrade, so I don't really mind the waiting
Price : 26 US$ per month, that's the normal price
I love it, goes down for a minute or two every few months, the speed is great, cept maybe the upload that leaves something to be desired, but with the upgrade, it'll be so incredibly sweet.
I've been on that connection for almost 2 years now, I loathe normal modems

T1
I hate to be the one to make everyone sad We were on cable for a while, but now that we've built a new datacenter, and have a whole entire peer network running, T1's are cheap to dish out to systems administrators. So... we've got a T1 over a cisco router.

CANADA!!!!!!
w00t! I'm Canadian too!!!!!!!
Sorry, I rejoice at the sight of "other" Canadians on the Internet. Bell Sympatico 1Mb ADSL here (1Mb up, 150 Kb down).
UNREBORN
EDIT: Oh, about $40 CDN/month here. It's worth it though; Sympatico DSL is rock solid!

Which is what I'm paying Though last time I checked, it was indeed 26US$ ... but our $ is going down the crapper, so it's now equal to 25US$
