    Red face Processor load?

My question with USB Devices that operate for more than a minute or two at a time, how much processor load will they produce. Certainly a USB device is not going to have easy access to the harddrive or memory. It will need to get this access through the CPU which would likely make any advanced usage of such a setup, worthless. How would this setup work for the gamer?

I used the speakers on two different PCs. One with a 700 MHz and one with a 800 MHz PIII. Maybe those CPUs were "too fast" to make a "fair assesment", but both PCs were used in normal every day cicumstances and there was no discernable performance hit on either.

If you'd like, and I got the time, I will run Evolva rolling bump map benchmark both with and without the speakers and let you know the results.

    Confused

I do not have much experiencec with USB speakers. At first installation appears to be simple. Yet, after some time I ran into problem and I believe it is drivers. After installation/reinstallation the system makes a few sounds and dies. Different applications through different messages regarding compression etc. This happens regardless of USB Controller I use (two on the MB). I used Windows XP Pro on KT133A based MB.
Technical supporrt from Kinyo and MS is terrible.

I just bought my R-655U speakers last night, and read the review by jonnyGURU today. My question for him is how/can I use the 2 RCA jacks (red & white) between the 6 colored surround RCA jacks and the DIN plug on the back of the "control center"? I have read the 2 manuals several times, and I can't figure it out?
I'm not even sure if the 2 jacks are even discussed. Also, how was jonnyGURU able to adjust the frequency response of the speakers "in software"? I got mine at PC Club for $50.00.
