good specification of dimensions, shape, texture and feel...
but lacks comparison to other pads
if you're going to purchase a mousepad you need to know why is it better than mousemat X... How does is the donut textured shape mat an advantage against the 3M pad... The 3m pad wears out quickly, but nothing was mentioned about the everglide's durability

I have been using the Everglide for a little over two weeks now and close-up inspection shows no signs of wear so far. I didn't feel bold enough to make a statement about the durability after only a couple weeks of use, because eventually it could become a problem after a couple of months. Personally, I wouldn't want to worry about purchasing a mousepad several times a year.
The only difference that I can detect made by the texture is the total lack of friction on the Everglide compared with the detectable friction on the 3M. As far as I'm concerned, they both eliminate dust effectively, which is the main purpose.

Just wondering what type of mouse you tird with this pad.
I have a Logitech MX-700, and am still looking for a pad that will work properly with this mouse. I've tried the 3M optical pad, and no luck.
Logitech recommends "light, opaque". I'm currently using a white piece of paper on top of my normal mouse pad.
