    If only they had thought about slapping a network card in this. You couldn't see a reason to connect your PC to it. If you want to install a hard drive, it looks like you only have 2 options. Burn everything to CD and transfer in 650 MB chunks. Tedious if you have a lot of music to transfer. Or, you could put the drive in your PC, transfer mp3's, then shove it in the player. Great for transferring songs the first time, but a pain if you have to keep yanking it out and throwing it back in again to get more than a few songs on it.

    True, I never thought of that, it would be a great idea to throw a small network card in there or something and be able to transfer everything.

    Maybe we'll see something like this in a future version......

    I think it would be cheaper to build a small pc for your stereo than spend 500 bucks for that....

    LIke I said in the review, cost was an major issue, and until the cost goes down it is out of reach for most of us.

    But taking the actual product, and leaving price out of consideration, it's great.

    I came in here to complain about the lack of network as well, but i see someone beat me to it. I would spend money on it if it had a NIC. and if your going to put a NIC in it make it so a can control it from any PC on the network. Make me one of those and ill buy it for $500.

    let me know mail558b@dnd.ca

    Just bought one of these in Australia from http://www.edirol.com.au/

    They had three for sale for AUS$349 each which is about US$170.
    I agree, a LAN port would have been a God send. Even a removable hard drive caddy of some sort would of done the job.

    Apart from that, this unit rocks!
