Do I need to change the power supply to put a P4 in the SX1030B case or can I leave the existing 300 watt power supply and just purchase a P4 connector? If I can use the connector, where can I get it?

a 300w supply will push a low end P4 system, a higher end setup won't run with that. A 350+ is reccomended for most P4 setups
