I purchased a set of these speakers recently and found that they are sensitive to the quality of the sound source. As good as they were with the SB Live, there was a tremendous increase in quality when I installed an SB Audigy card. The bass was extended, highs were clearer, and the overall sound was richer, with much less noise in the background.

and i would say they re nice quality but there a few things that made me want my old yamaha YST-MS50 speakers back
first about yamaha
the tweeters didnt look or sound as they were plastic and the speaker cabinets were less resonant (more crisp sound) the subwoofer i was really amazed how a 25 watt can make produce so clear and loud bass(not talkin about over 90 hz bass) i mean clear low freq bass.i have very good year on frequiencies i heard a lot of different speakers and can tell the bad ones from hi qual and i didn have any complains to yamaha set except it was a 2 speaker set and i have 2,4,6channel card
now some people might say maan u donno the fuck u talkin about klipsch are the shit and the best speakers ever and they re THX certified
but where is yamaha made? japan? and why i dont see any japanese speakers in the THX list? does that mean they re worse? no its just means that they got theyr own standards in quality i would say higher standards
now clipsch i got today i was happy with the 400 watts in my room the components are very professionally made and hi quality and design is very good but the longer i listen the more i miss yamaha's quality
first of all i notticed right away they were bigass plastic tweeters really bad thing on 200$ speakers and no matter how i tweak my sound settings i dont get even near to what yamaha had then those speaker cabinets are resonating and makin that annoying midrange distortion
nowww the sub yea the bass is shakin my room and my neighbors gettin pissed off which is kinda good thing but im a peacefull guy and i want my neighbours to hear low clear and powerfull bass yea i can adjust the frequancy of it with a winamp equaliser but by default theres no equaliser in windows and that bass sounds to me like about70-80HZ which is cool too but that boom boom boom sound gets annoyin and i want to go down to lower freq bass( i know my neighbours would appreciate it too)but i cant cuz no equalizer in a dvd player program
oh yea make the story short i never trusted cube subwoofer cabinet design and definitely never will after this set of speakers cuz it just doesnt sound as good as front or back firing subs
thats the end of my story
if anyone wants to agrue about it or call me names or mebe correct me if im wrong or not doin something right please write me a note "mute9003@yahoo.com"

This is an International site and if you have a European or UK product that you have tried out, write a review and we will put it on this site (although we may need to edit to ensure that it meets our standards).

What are some comparable European products that you would recommend looking at that can compare to the Klipsche speakers? In terms of quality and pricing?
Also, you should register

In my opinion, the only computer speakers that can even compare to the Klipsch's are the Logitech Z-680s.
Has anyone seen the new Klipsch GMX's? They are incredible! As for now, they are only avialable through Alienware.com's Gear Shop, and cost $300.

I want to hear the new Klipsche GMX's....They definitely look sweet!
I have the Logitech Z560's and I LOVE them. My next purchase on compter speakers (which won't be for a while) wille be one of the following:
1. Logitech Z680's
2. A newer release of Logitech 5.1 channel speakers
3. Klipsche GMX, or whatever new is out from Klipsche
4. Just hook it all up to a high-fidelity home theater system
Probably end up tooking option 4, because I don't plan on getting new speakers for a while....will probably have my own place by that time.

I have the Logitech Z540's. They costed just $50, but offer excellent sound for the price, as well as awesome bass. I would like to get new speakers, but the only ones I want are $300+, and thats quite a bit of money just for speakers.

ok as im listenin more to them i get more annoyed and i m really startin to think that i wasted my money because what i wanted to buy was altec lansing model 461 speakers and as i look at the specifications altek has a lot better quality speakers and especially subwoofer
and yes i ve tested both speakers and i can say that altec 461 worth its money which i cant say about klipsch promedia 4.1 its crappy sound is seriously gettin on my nerves
