Did you guys read that news. Here's my theory: Napster actually sucks now. Have you tried to find stuff? And look at how many users are actually logged in. Plus there's that thing about the riaa(those media giants) getting your ip and contacting your provider. Well, I already uninstalled it and switched.
Who did I switch to? Well first I tried file navigator, but I started getting troubles logging in after that latestcourt rulling. There's only about 5000 users logged on a server anyway.
Then I switched to Morpheus. This progam is fantastic. 40,000++ users logged on. You can share and find anything. An hour ago there was 51,000 users logged in. I would recomend this to everyone. You can get it at http://www.musiccity.com/ .
I realize I'm sortof advertising, but the more people there are, the better my chances of getting stuff I want. Tell you friends too!

My take on it
From what it looks like so far, Napster was basically a prototype for what will become a common application on home PCs, and they will continue to get better and a few will rise above the rest as opposed to the multitude of options that people have now.

One of the ones that I've been using lately is limewire. It works alot like Audiognome. I still use Audiognome too.
