Have a support case at hand,
My buddy was mucking around his pc (amd athlon 600/256mb/20gb/Win98). He removed his current 20gb Drive and inserted an old 500mb Hard drive which had win95 and it of course loaded what it could and requested a restart. On restart the Pc went dead, no boot sequence, no beep, just power to the CD drives and cooling fans work.

Could the processor be dead?
