Hi, i was wondering whether anyone thought it would be worth the money to get the Sound Blaster Live 5.1 platinum w/ the live drive II, and the newq platinum. Any input would be greatly apreciated.

My roomate currently has the Platinum, and it's pretty nice, BUT there is the Hercules Game Theater XP which in my opinion I like better (Although software isn't as good) and it's $149. I think if you want to go high-end consumer, you should take a look at a few reasons of each of those products and decide from there. Hope that helps

That's gonna be taking up two whole drive bays in your system. Are you sure you can live with that? Otherwise, I say "Go for it!"

Oh...for a couple of comparisons...While they may not be exactly what you were talking about...

It's a conspiracy. It makes your average posts per day go down (theoretically), so that means that when people ask if you have a life, you can point to your postcount, and due to the problem, you'll note that it's lower than normal

On the other hand, it makes people like me make yet another post about it, while registerd, so it just ends up negating any/all benefits it may have had
