Best Geforce 3 Card
I am having a hard time deciding which Geforce 3 card I want to buy. I am debating between the ASUS V8200 Deluxe, and the Hercules 3D Prophet III. The only reason I haven't fully decided on the ASUS is because of the fact that the ASUS has more features and yet the Hercules card actually costs more (from what I've found). Am I missing something here? Is the Hercules card overpriced or does it have something that the ASUS Deluxe lacks? It's been my experience in life that you get what you pay for. But in this case, the hercules may just be overpriced. Any input would be helpful.
(I found the ASUS deluxe at one site for as low as $398, and the lowest I've seen the Hercules is for $430)
Thanks.

Visontek makes a pretty nice GeForce3 card.
I think the price is around $339 without TV.
Most of the GeForce3 cards are almost the same, its a matter
of pricing and bundled software that can make the difference.

Have a look at this comparative review: http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.html?i=1507
According to it, the best GeForce3 videocard with VIVO capability is Gainward CARDEXPERT GeForce3 PowerPack !!! 64MB with the VIVO module (at only 355$, and with best display quality).
The most difficult is to find it, but you can find it on the Internet.

yea I was gonna recommend that gainward card... if not for the good bang for buck, then for the cool red PCB and heatsinks... it would kick ass if you had a red theme going in your case with lights and window kit

Gainward or ASUS
Gainward tries so hard to please with speed that I'd personally like the Gainward, the ASUS is also a better choice than the Hercules and the Herc is not bad.

I got myself the Gainward Geforce 3 card (without DVI connector). It is a really great card, but then again, almost anything would be better than my old TNT2 M64. At 1024x768 in real gaming I get around 30-40fps. Its really, really nice...and with my new EPoX 8K7A+ (Red LEDs on the board) it looks quite good, and is really, really fast. The software is clean and provides for easy overclocking.
Just my 2 cents.
