    Default WinMX.com

I can't believe that no one ever mentions WinMX.com , by far this is the next Generation Sharing program, It not only shares mp3's but also any other file including avi's, zip files or whatever, Dont Worry it has different searches for each file type. The GUI is wild and the search features are great, you can have more than 1 search window open , TRUST ME ON THIS, I HAVE NO STRANGER TO THE UNDERGROUND. WINMX.COM - BTW: That Morpheous is crap.

Hmm...interesting. You say that nobody ever mentions it, but I've never heard of it in anything I've read. I'm not saying it's bad or you're wrong...I'm just saying that it must not be very publicized...which is probably good for a filesharing network.

Look what happened to Napster. It got too much attention drawn to itself and got shut down. The same thing will happen to Aimster and other networks if they advertise...so they don't. People know about Gnutella and OpenNap, but since they don't say much about them, they don't call out the attention from the authorities and executives.

well actually my friends and I have been using it for some time now. I think they started using it after scour exchange went down. It's a good program but sometimes it takes awhile to get connected to the servers and lost connections are frequent. I use it mainly for music files. The larger your download the more likely you'll get disconnected before you finish. I've also heard of a program called Tripnosis, not sure if that's good or not, but one of my friends use it. All these programs are always going to be shutdown when they grow too large. The best place to get anything is IRC. Any program, movie, music file, or video clip you could ever want is there, it's just a matter of searching and waiting... not that I would ever download copyrighted material or anything...
