Just thought I would pass this on to everyone. If anyone on the fourm has a KT7,KT7-Raid mobo and a MX300 sound card thats giving you problems then here is a fix.
    http://www.vortexofsound.com/script...oad.cgi?file017

I have a MX300 in one of my systems and it gave me some hard times. The cpu would lock up if you tried to play a game or listen to music. There is a compatibility issue with the driver that comes with the sound card. It doesnt like the KT7,KT7-Raid mobo at all. My idle temp was the same as my full load temp using the driver that came with the sound card. I did some research and found this reference vortex driver and it works great. My idle temp is 26c now and the cpu doesnt lock up anymore. I am sure there are others who are trying to figure this out. The sound card worked with the supplied drivers so I didnt think it was a problem, but after a few days of trouble shooting I figured it out. Hope this can help someone out and save them from some hard times.

    Post Just as a note...

The Vortex2 reference drivers are a good bit more stable than the Diamond OEM drivers are, so whether or not you're experiencing this particular problem, I'd go ahead and stick with it. If you're a Win2K user, then this is actually your ONLY measure. The only downside is that the A3D demoes are packaged in with the drivers, and so you have to download 34MB just to get them!

On a secondary note, I'm glad to see that Vortex Of Sound is back up! This place is your one-stop resource for all things Aureal.
