What about the cpu fsb clock/clock ratio settings in the bios, could I set the cpu bus to something faster and change the ratio settings to compensate for the change in the cpu fsb speed?

again, this is why it's better to have a chip with a lower fsb speed...you can change the ratios but your options are limited...the ratios are made for 66, 100, or 133 Mhz fsb speeds...so since you're already at 133 switching ratios won't help...
