    Default Northwood

There have got to be some strong viewpoints on this. No plain Intel flaming, how much better do you think the Pentium 4 is going to be with the Northwood core enhancements? I guess expectations are somewhere around a 10% performance boost.

    Default 20%

20% is my best guess. I can't wait for the reviews though (maybe it'll finally be worth the price).

HRmm... I read somewhere that the Northwood 2.2ghz can in theory be clocked to 3ghz.... This will be a site to see...

If i find where I saw it, I will post it, my memory fails me just now though...

It apears from that GamePC review of the Northwood, that the increase is actually a little bit less than 10%. But the overclocking on the i845 is amazing. Rock solid stable at 2.5 GHz. The 2.2 GHz should indeed be an exciting prospect.

It's probably gonna be a very powerful chip. I'm not so much as worried about how it performes but if AMD can put something out that can match it.
