    Default Problems with SyncMaster 950p

For a year I used and loved my Samsung SyncMaster 950p. Then I bought myself a brand new one, because they were dirt cheap at around $200 and gave my Dad my old one. Now, the one that I'm using has some strange problems. For instance, at the 75 Hz refresh rate, the entire screen shakes slightly, but this doesn't happen at any other setting. Monitor and video card (GeForce3) drivers are current. Next, every hour or so of use, the screen will briefly flash white, then black, then back to normal during the course of about a second, almost as if a momentary power outage had occured. I'm not sure what to think about these things. Degausing has no effect. It couldn't be due to damage suffered from a surge because I always use it plugged into a very good surge protector, but I don't use a UPS.

I've tried moving power and data cords around behind my computer, seeing if one was causing some interference with my monitor, but that didn't seem to work so I've sent an e-mail off to Samsung and hopefully they'll be able to help me.
