    Love

those 900mhz durons sure look nice. i've seen lots of reviews on them but i havent seen any reviews where they clock the hell out of one to see what kind of potential we can expect out of these new procs ive seen 800mhz durons OC'd easily to 1GHz.
can we expect to get 1.1GHz out of these procs?

I've never heard of compaq motherboards having the ability to change the multiplier or anything. As such, I bet you're stuck, because they usually don't allow adjustment of the FSB either

Daily - The early 6X0mhz Duron's got to, or very close to, 1ghz. The 700's only got about that far. I would guess that you might be able to get (on average, with decent cooling) up to 1100mhz at most with the Duron

I've read about people getting thier duron 850's up to 1.2 and a little higher, but I think they were using peltier cooling.

    Default That depends..

there seems to be alot of variables in these cpu's. I have an 800 Duron and no matter what I've switched, voltage, buss, multiplier, anything, It will not go past 940mhz. Some claim that the oem versions, like mine wont go as high as retail versions, supposedly AMD gives them a little better lot, I dunno, then of course there are AXIA versions which supposedly kick butt, and what days they're made etc. I've got mine set up on an Asus a7v133a mobo with a FOP32 HSF and Artic SIlver II thermal paste so I'm feedin it good but it just dont wanna play with the big dogs!!

You do have a point. Then again that happens with almost any product out on the market. There is always going to be some variation.
