Default Computer not recognized on LAN network. Why?

IM running too machines with windows 2000 professional, with a SOHOware 10/100 Tbase ethernet HUB. I have a cable connection.

When i go to "My Network Place" i can't get in, the program freezees, and i have to use task manager to close it.

However, on the other computer, i can get into the "my network places" folder, but my computer isn't on it, and the host computer is.

Someone please tell me what's wrong.

    AIM: ubers0ldat
please im me, its the quickest way of contacting me,

I do appreciate any help, Thank you!

Make sure you do not have the xp firewall running. Do you have file and print sharing enabled?

If you want other people to see your gaming server for example you have to put it out side of the firewall. Granted it will not be protected but that is what you have to do. I think it is called port forwarding.
