    Default Athlon XP 2200+

    Hey, what does a Athlon XP 2200+ compare to a P4? I'm guessing a 2.26GHz 533FSB, or less?

    Thanks!

The Athlon is comparable to the P4 2.2, but AMD just released the Athlon XP 2400+ and 2600+, which can outperform the P4 2.4 and 2.53 in most areas. If you really want an AMD chip, though, wait for the Hammer, which will be the fastest processor, faster than anything either AMD or Intel has ever made.

"Towards the end of the year" or "Q4 02".
There's an article here and one more in-depth here

I seriously am VERY mad. I just got myself an PC with a 2200+ (as most of you know ), but of course, just a few days after it comes, here comes the new processors. And, even better, the new ATI Radeon 9700 Pro ships, when I got a Ti 4600!
