I have sound blaster audigy and I use windows xp. every time i play a divx movie on windows media player from my cdplayer there is an annoying noise coming out of my speakers.
Do you know a solution to this problem? The strange is I dont have this problem with winamp when I plya mp3s.

Hi,

I don't want to sound patronising but are you sure it isn't Media Player picking up your microphone input... try muting your mic in your volume control to see if that helps.

I had this problem several months ago and that's all it was.

Nothing happens if I do that. In some movies I dont have this annoying noise. So it must be something else.

Please help me.
