    Question

What is the best way to overclock the memory on a gf2mx? I am trying to use ram heatsinks but i am not sure how to attach them, i don't want to buy arctic silver epoxy offline and i cam not sure if any local hardware stores (like sears) sell epoxies that transfer heat. An clues?...how can i get the ram above my "limit"?...same goes for engine clock, but i have a blue orb on it

Download the CoolBit's Reg Hack, and see how far you can go...my generic P.O.S. GeForce 2 MX can go 190/180, but I start to get visual artifacts so I run it at 180/170...and that's with some cheap fan that came with it. I've heard people just use super-glue to attach the heat sinks...don't know how well that transfers heat though. Probably not to well I imagine. NERO!!!

If I were serious about overclocking teh core (which I wouldn't normally be due to the fact that it's already bandwidth limited), I'd buy some artic-silver epoxy or whatever it's called.

The blue orb (which is the fan on the MX in the contest) and use good paste--Articsilver is good.

This is a great place to find out how far you can push your mx card.

If you can't get Arctic Silver Epoxy, use normal thermal grease but with a tiny dot of superglue on each corner of the RAM sink to hold it in place. It's a bit fiddly but works well.
