I recently installed a new motherboard , all the other componets are same. After installing board i tried to play a dvd on windvd and all i get is a error saying if you have this problem try restarting . And it does this with what ever dvd software decoder i try . So i downloaded windvd4 the newest and it worked for a hour or so then it got all choppy and sound was screwed up. I am now running win me, P4 2.4 ghz PChips m930lr , ati rage video 512ram . The system was a 1ghz p3 and everything worked fine before board change have any ideas please help if you can .

Is the dvd drive set to dma access? If not change it to dma. Also get the latest drivers for your chipset here and here. From what I found it uses the SIS 645 chipset. If you are using the onboard sound and network get those drivers too.

yes i had it set to dma and didnt work but took it off dma and i got power dvd to work some thing huh? wish i could get the win dvd to work though it is full version powerdvd is trial and would hate to purchase and it stop working .
