Ok, i have two questions,

First of all, I know some laptop models have a digital audio output . . . but is this feature only for the 5.1 sound from the DVD player? I want to be able to pass the digital audio signal from say an mp3 file on a laptop to an external DAC (stereo reciever). I am not sure whether the s/pdif output on a laptop can pass both a 5.1 digital dolby signal and a digital audio signal (from the sound card) at seperate times . . . assuming the sound card is connected to the output in some manner.

Second question is . . . what laptop brands and models have a digital audio COAXIAL output?
