    Hey!
    Can anyone tell me if there is a "heat detector" on my mother Board? you know, so I just install a prog and then i can see how warm my CPU is!
    My mother board is an MSI 6167
    I would be very glad if anyone knows would tell me!!

    No there is not. I just did a little research on it and they left that option out to lower the price of the mobo.

    Sounds just like MSI, anything to make a quick buck and jip the potential buyer. Oh by the way, I found out why my MSI Board went out, Despite the chipset cooling, when you overclocking you processor, you probably should stick a fan over the chipset heatsink to throw more cool air over it. Obviously they had a few bad design ideas.

    thats why i stick to abit, asus, aopen, and the other highley rated motherboards.

    Don't buy a motherboard you cant find a review for.

    Well I have a MSI MS-6163 and it kickass. It has the heat sensor right next to the CPU. 6 PCI 1 ISA 1 APG although I should have gone with a chipset that supported AGP 4x. Anyone know how much ram intel440BX chipset can it handle. Right now I have 384 and was thinking of getting 2x256pc100 Dimms.

    My old Gigabyte GA-6BXE would support, well, a gigabyte. Coincidence? Nah...
