LCD monitor advice
I'm just an average home user but I do a lot of graphic work. I went to buy a new monitor yesterday but they were out of the CRT model I wanted. I ended up getting a "17 Viewsonic VA720 LCD and was excited that it wouldn't take up most of my desk. Unfortunately, I'm very unhappy with the image quailty. The color/brightness is fine but text is fuzzy. I have tried adjusting everything I can find but I can't improve it. My old monitor had crappy color but at least it was focused....
Are there any LCD monitors in the $400-$500 range that can provide decent clarity for my graphic work or is it best to stick with CRT's?
If it helps, I have a DEll w/Pent III/ 700MH z and a Geforce 256.
Thanks for your advice

I use a CRT for graphics work and LCD for everything else (I have 3 PC's on the go).
If your really into graphics then CRT is better but the LCD's are not as bad as they used to be.
I've got a NEC MultiSync LCD1700V and had fuzzy text as well, to get rid of the fuzzy text I set the screen resolution as high as it would go on my machine (1280 by 1024), it seemed odd at first but when you get used to it its ok.

The native resolution for that monitor is 1280x1024. Try setting your desktop to that and it may clear things up.

TFT's are a nightmare for graphics work... I sold both of mine to stevecentral
I would recommend just using a flat screen CRT monitor...
