External TV Tuners
I own a very good laptop and I want to hook it up to a TV Tuner.
It has to be and external one and also, the video output should be of USB 2.0 type.
I found a couple of them, but the good ones are over 200 and come with a lot of features I don't need and the cheap ones are designed for Windows 98!!! and work with USB 1.0, thus slower transfer speeds => lower imagine quality.
Any ideas/recomandations?
Thanks.

I would strongly reccomend the ATI USB TV Wonder, its less then $80 last time I checked, uses USB 1.1, and the quality does NOT decrease compared to USB 2.0.

Thank you for your suggestion.
By trying to find more about this ATi product, google sent me to a VERY GOOD site...
Yeap, I am looking for something under 100$ is possible...and well, a USB 2.0 can go up to 480 Mbps...USB 1.0 is way below that...
Anyway, I am new in external TV Tuners, so now I am learning and shopping.
Thx again.

Yes, USB2.0 can go above 480 Mbps, but if you're looking for "TV quality" (not hdtv) then USB1.1 is generally "good enough" (assuming you aren't streaming more stuff through the USB port simultaneously).
I've been trying to get some external USB TV tuners for review, but haven't had much luck recently.... I wish I could help more.
