    Default Good GOD!

That's WAY higher than it should be...I can't find a Celsius to Fahrenheit converter handy, but that should be in the region of 165 degrees or so...

    Default False alarm...

I found one at BP6.com...That's equivalent to 117 degrees Fahrenheit. Not dangerous, but not great either! Cool that puppy down!

I have a good heatsink with the case cover off
once I took the case cover off the temp went down to 42celsius or about 108or110 f
I most not have good case circulation

Is that the temp at idle or at full load? What kind of thermal grease did you use? I have a 1.2 GHz Athlon with a Tai-Sol heatsink and Arctic Silver II thermal compound. My idle temp is 42 C, and my full load temp is 46 C, so it does make a difference.

What kind of case do you have? I dropped my peak temp by about 7 or 8 C when I got my Lian-Li case. Previously, I had a piece of junk with poor airflow.

    bah
47C? That all? What's a matter wit you? Can't take the heat? hehehehe.

47C isn't that bad for a TBird at ANY speed. TBirds run hotter than hell. I've had friends with generic HSF's running at 55C and still be fine.

I wouldn't worry about a TBird until you hit the 60C+ mark. After that you're getting hot.
