    Default Dlink DWL-g650 card causes sys freeze

    Any help appreciated. Card will cause system to freeze. have to eject card and everything is good. When frozen, system will not respond to any keys, mouse etc, when card ejects, all is good. Have upgraded to latest firmware. System is IBM T23 laptop with Win ME with SP4, 30gb HD with 19gb free, Intel P3 1133MHz,

    only happens with the wireless card,

    Win ME has alot of bugs, similar to the problem you describe. I would upgrade your OS to either Win2K or WinXP.

    Yay, finally someone agrees, it's a Windows problem. If you don't have the resources to get XP, try a fresh install of ME. Sometimes files can get corrupted, and then stuff don't work. A fresh install can do the trick most of the time. Also, read up on the card, go to their website. See if there are any drivers, or issues and bugs they may list.
