I have an Asus V7700 32mb GTS Deluxe in one of my rigs and its an excellent card. The memory will o/c to 415mhz with out artifacts. My best score using 3dmark 2000 was 8500 with it. When I bought mine they were $330 but that was some time ago. They are down to around $210 right now. The Asus cards use good ram and o/c real good compared to some of the others. I have found that 400-425 is the average for o/c ing the memory on the V7700. The picture quality is excellent too.
Here is a link that has them for $207.95

The Geforce 3 will be out before long. When that happens, the prices on the Geforce 2's should go down. By then, you'll be able to have those braggin rights.
In the mean time, I'll still get by with my Tnt2 Ultra. Just the other day it was top of the line. Oh well.

Get a Geforce 2 MX, it beats the Geforce 1 chip. Aslong as you get the DDR version

Geforce 2 GTS all the way
Hey,
If I had $250 to spend, I'd get the Geforce2 GTS Pro. The 'pro" part is important--the memory bandwidth is better than the vanilla GTS but less than the Ultra.
The Geforce line looks like this in order of performance:
MX < GTS < GTS Pro < Ultra
($85) ($150) ($250) ($399)
Personally, I'd just get a GTS for $150, which will give you all the frames and bragging rights you need and you'll save $100 bucks to buy a T-bird 900 and then overclock that. Your system will then kick some serious Intel ass.
They have some of the best Geforce card prices and selection I've seen at:
www.Ocie.com.
BTW--ONLY the Geforce2 MX has the dual screen option.

VisionTek GeForce2 GTS has got my vote. I have both a 3D Prophet II GeForce2 MX and the VisionTek GeFroce2 GTS and I must say that the GTS card rocks with Nvidia's new detonator drivers. Plus as Sean7997 says, the prices should drop with the release of the GeForce3.

My opinion
I just bought a Elsa Gladiac GeForce 2 GTS w/32mgs of DDR RAM for right around 200 bucks. You're choices are quite numerous with that price range, but I'd definitively suggest get DDR RAM on whatever you buy.
