    Confused Damn monitor

I honestly doubt that my monitor will be able to be fixed, so this is more of a rant than anything. But hell...if you think you can help me post it

I got myself a 19" monitor when I put my computer together so maybe a year ago? And I don't remember when it started happening but the screen gets really really blurry. Sometimes to the point where I can't read it anymore. Unfortunately I spent all my cash on my new guitar (which I love dearly) so I don't have the money to buy a new one, so I'll be sticking with this POS for a while more .

    Damn blurry monitor...*gives finger*

So anybody have any tips maybe on how to fix it? If you don't have any tips on how I should annialate it?

    I hope so. I'll make a pizost

I sat down in front of my desk one day and looked at my monitor. It was pretty readable so took a drink of coke that was on my desk and looked back at my monitor which was now blurry as all hell. So I scratched my head and said..."damn..I don't remember putting anything in this"

    True story too

Did you try all the monitor controls on the front panel? Degaussing (I think) is the main one for "resetting" your monitor.

I also have a blurry monitor, 21 " Sony dual monitor. Seems the USP man dropped it from his truck when he delivered it to me last fall. Oh well, I got a refund and kept the monitor. Using it right now. Good enough to read and type with.

Well, the only thing I can think of is like what happened to mine. The drop damaged a board inside the case. Not to the point of not working but making the picture blurry like yours.
You might have a contact come loose inside, but I wouldn't go opening up the case and looking around. There is alot of voltage laying in there, even with the monitor off and unplugged.
I'm certain the problem is minor, but the cost of repair makes it almost impossible to do. A local shop here said it would cost $125 - 175 to fix one of my other monitors. So......
