    Default Power Supply Advice

I have been having very intermittant problems with my computer lately so I opened it up and cleaned it out with a can of air...a lot of dust came out of the power supply so I stuck my multimeter on one of the molex ends that was not in use. The 12V line came out reading 15.5V to 16V while the 5V line came out at 6.5V.

Is this a real problem, could it be the cause. The guy who sold the power supply to me tells me this is normal and that the meter readings are wrong? If that is correct, could someone explain why?

    Wow! That's pretty wicked.

What kind of motherboard is it and what kind of power supply?
