Here's what I did. I had one partition with WinME installed. I deleted the partition in Win2K install and then deleted the new one I made in Win2K install using FDISK. I then created a primary partition and an extended partition in FDISK. Is there any way to recover the data that was on there???

Not if you formatted it...Otherwise, if you create a FAT32 partition, you might be able to recover it, but it's doubtful. The data is all there, but the file allocation table itself (Not the partition table) is prolly shot to hell. There are some file recovery services available if it's critical, but otherwise, you can prolly kiss that data goodbye.

You should try Norton Utilities Diskedit. So far as I know, it has let me recover a lot of lost data at times too. And so long as you have not done an unconditional format..... (format /u) You should be able to recover some important data. Also remember, if you have overwritten some sectors, you might well find that parts of the chains that make up the files and their clusters are not there any more. If so, you might be able to recover text files partially, but not executables.

Well I used some software called EasyRecovery, and it's recovering my files as we speak....THANK GOD! You can get this software at OnTrack.com

Actually, Active@ Partition Recovery can be used to restore lost partition. It's methods never ever failed me before. Awesome utility!
