My laptop can't output 16:9 resolution
I have a Polaroid LCD HDTV monitor and I am using my laptop's VGA output for my LCD's source of display. However, my laptop can only display 4:3 resolution (which works fine, but in order for my screen to fill up without horizontal stretching, i need something that is widescreen). My laptop does have 15:9 resolution, but that simply makes my LCD go blank and say that it doesn't work.
Polaroid tech support said my monitor only has 16:9 and 4:3 capabilities, and this is further supported by a Amazon.com user review. Amazon.com User Review In the Display Properties Window>Advanced Tab, no 16:9 are availible for me to select.
I have a Mobile Intel 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset Family integrated video card.
Are there any third party softwares that will help my integrated video card to display 16:9 resolutions? Thanks
