netgear doesnt allow me to go on msn

i just got a netgear router but i find that it isnt allowin me access to msn messenger. please can someone out there help me out. im on AOL is tht helps. thnx

So without the router you could get your MSN to work fine?

Make sure the router is allowing traffic through ports 6891 through 6901.

Could be the router blocks traffic on those ports by default.
