3D Glasses were bundled with cards from Asus and Elsa.....Anybody ever use em? I had em, used them a couple times, and stopped. Tooooo much eye strain after a short amount of time! You need a monitor with real high refresh rates.

At work we've all played with the glasses from Asus.
We've even gotten into the habit of calling them "headache glasses".
People would want the Deluxe over the Pure and we'd tell them, "you'll probably get tire of the glasses", but then they'll say "I want the TV out", which then prompts me to comment, "you don't want a crisp clear picture on your PC, do you?"

3d glasses
I never did get those 3d glasses. They arent even 3d! They do nothing but give you a headach, and make your vision crappy.

Sadly due to my optical prescription (-4 Dioptre in my Left eye), I am unable to use the 3D glasses (I get double vision). Not a selling point for me...

I've had the privilege and pain of...
The VFX-1 3D headset that was made about three or four years ago. The headset has motion-tracking and stereoscopic screens that are capable of displaying an image in 640x480x65536, and it comes with a motion-sensitive three-button puck. The puck, I could do without, but the headset was kinda cool. I was setting this thing up for the cybercafe I worked in at the time. The only problem was trying to get all the games to work with it properly (Primarily Quake). Since it *kinda* operated via video passthrough, having 3D acceleration was not a given. Also, text in the images would sometimes be incredibly hard to read, due to "lines" that were displayed as part of the eye-screen displays they used in the headset.
It was really cool, but that was years ago. Now, it's still a few thousand dollars to own one, and the VFX-1 only had about 1,000 of them made, I think. It's been replaced by the VFX-3D, which was designed much more sensibly and intelligently.

I bought my 6yr old son an Asus V7700 GTS and it came with the 3d glasses. I tried them out, but couldnt see any difference. I think they are in the closet now.
