Hello all,
I currently have a web / ftp (mp3) server (duron 700) running on my DSL line. Unfortunately, I also live in So. California and the price of electricity is killing me. That plus the fact my FOP38 HSF is really noisy.
I was thinking of building / buying a cheap computer that doesn't consume alot of power for that purpose so that I can have 24/7. I would like to keep the price in the $500 range without monitor.
Currently, my thinking is a micro-ATX MB with celeron inside a 145W mini case. The case should have 2 5-1/4 bays to handle a CD and a removable HD rack. With 50+GB of MP3s, having a removable rack makes life alot easier to transfer from my current computer to the new one.
Any other advice appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
