DAVE, staying logged on
Dave:
I've noticed that some people, myself included, and some of
your staff members get "logged off" and when they post
it as an unreg. poster.
This has to due with the forum and it's settings. I've never
had that problem until I joined this forum.
Don't get me wrong, this is a great forum with lots of
potenial. Just the annoying have to relog-on thing.
Can you look into it please!
If anyone else is having this problem just add a post saying
ME TOO!!
Thanks

ME TOO!!!
Seriously...Dave knows and he can't figure it out, but I know he's looking in to it.

Hi, yeah it happens to me too, and it is very annoying!
I believe the problem is from something that I accidentally did to the database when trying to install something for these boards (that didn't work unfortunately). But Cutriss is correct, I am looking into it.

Dave and Cutriss
Ok, and thanks.
I wasn't for sure if you were aware of it or not.
Glad to hear that you are working on it.
I have a guru friend that might know something about this.
I'll try and talk to him tomorrow.
Again, thanks.

I dunno, i changed something in my profile to use cookies when browsing the boards since I had that set to no before. I'm not sure if that will help or not but we'll see. Anyway woohoo 6000 posts hehehe

Huh...that option was set to "No" for me too. Perhaps when Dave changed the databases, this option was either unavailable or it got initialised. That would certainly explain a lot of things. I don't remember having to toggle this option before, but hopefully it fixes things.
All registered users -> Go to the Profile button, and select Edit Options. Make sure the second and third options in the first category are set to "Yes". Then scroll down to the bottom and hit "Submit Changes". This should fix the problem, I hope!

Right now, looks good, no problems so far.
I'll check again tonight when I get home.
And thanks, I hope it works.
